Silica Training

Silica Competent Person Training

OSHA requires a competent person present when workers may be exposed above the OSHA Action Level for respirable crystalline silica. This course offers a comprehensive Silica Competent Person Training program to meet OSHA requirements. Crystalline silica is a naturally occurring mineral found in many materials, such as stone, rock, and concrete. When these materials are crushed to manufacture products, tiny silica dust particles 100x smaller than a grain of sand get released into the air. Human exposure to silica dust can be highly toxic and cause many immediate or latent health problems.
