Boom Truck Safety Training

The bucket truck safety training program is intended to help prevent accidents, injuries, and fatalities that may be caused by the improper and unsafe use of bucket trucks. The Aerial Bucket Truck Operators course provides training to participants on all operational requirements and processes specific to proper preventive maintenance checks on aerial bucket trucks and safe operational skills.

Learning Outcomes:

Working in the bucket

Personal Protective Equipment

Boom and bucket load limits

Use of brakes, outriggers, and wheel locks; and

Completion Requirements:

  • Fully involvement in all class trainings (determined by instructor)
  • Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form
  • Completion of mandatory quiz assessments
  • As applicable, attainment of least passing score on required end-of-course examination
  • Participation and submittal of end-of-course assessment form (must provide name on form to obtain credit)
